This train carried passengers from Portland, Oregon to Louisville, Kentucky for the Annual National Convention of the American Legion in 1929. The man looks at a sign on the back of the train that reads, "Pacific Northwest American Legion." Handwritten note on the back of the print reads, "Am. Legion spl. train, Ptld-Louisville. Sept. 25, 1929."
