Biographical history

Dick Erath was one of the pioneer winemakers in Oregon. He studied winemaking at UC Davis and planted his first grapes in in the Willamette Valley at Erath Winery in Dundee, Oregon in 1969. He focused on Pinot Noir. He sold his winery, which still bears his name, in 2006.
