Biographical history

Randall Kester was born in Vale, Oregon on Oct. 20, 1916 and grew up in Ontario, Oregon. He attended Willamette University in Oregon and Columbia Law School in New York from 1937-1940. He worked for Maguire Shields & Morrison Law Firm. He served on numerous bar committees, and became president of the Multnomah Bar Association. He participated as amici curiae on the Yasui case during World War II. He served on the Oregon Supreme Court from Jan. 3, 1957-Mar. 1, 1958, became General Solicitor for the Union Pacific Railroad in Mar. 1958 and resumed partnership with Maguire, Shields, Morrison, Bailey & Kester.
