Oregon City playboy Thomas William Sullivan III, shirtless and displaying his bruises from a jail in Portland. Sullivan served time for armed assault, passing bad checks, and attempted larceny. A story about Sullivan was published in the Oregon Journal on page 2A of the Oregon Journal on Sunday, September 24, 1950.

Convicted murderers Turman (left) and Utah Wilson, handcuffed together and wearing coveralls, arrive at the court of Judge Eugene Cushing to hear their sentence. Turman and Utah were sentenced to hang for the murder of 18-year-old Jo Ann Dewey, whose body was later found on the Wind River in Skamania County. They were hung on January 3, 1953.
