Biographical history
William H. Givler (1908-2000) was born in Omaha, Nebraska and came to Portland, Oregon with his family in around 1918. He was a teacher at the Museum Art School (now Pacific Northwest College of Art) starting in 1931. He was dean of the school from 1941 until his reitrement in 1973.
