Half--length portrait of three people, two men and a woman, standing in a row on a train platform. The man at right is Lieutenant Colonel Charles W. Whittlesey, also known as “Go To Hell” Whittlesey. The man at left may be New York politician Herbert Parsons, and the woman may be the author and suffragist Nancy Schoonmaker. Whittlesey, Parsons, and Schoonmaker delivered addresses in support of the League of Nations at a public meeting in Portland on October 27, 1920.
