Man driving horse-drawn wagon

Photograph of a man driving a four-wheeled wagon pulled by a team of six horses or ponies. They are crossing the lawn in front of a building with the word “OFFICE” on the roof, probably at the Multnomah County Fairgrounds in Gresham, Oregon. Painted on the side of the wagon are the words: “Mrs F. B. Bunn’s Stable’s. [sic] / Portland Ore.” The photograph may have been taken at the Multnomah County Fair. Also see image No. 374N0717.

Photograph of Mr. and Mrs. McCleave of Stockton, California, sitting in a four-wheeled wagon hitched to a horse named Buttermilk, part of their troupe of 22 horses. A sign on the side of the wagon has the text “Multnomah Co. Fair / At Gresham / Aug. 22-28.” The photograph was probably taken at the fairgrounds in Gresham. The number 9 is written on the negative and is visible in the lower left corner of the image.
