The number 1834 is written on the negative and is visible in the upper right corner of the image. The unverified note “Beaverton homes / Mother & child” is written on the negative sleeve. Handwritten note affixed to the back of the case indicates this is likely William Alexander Lee. The note reads, "Wm Alexander Lee; Fair Haven, Conn. Nov. 10, 1856 - (Tacoma?) Seattle, Wash. 1935. Son of Rev. Wm B. Lee & Elizab. Payson (Howe) Lee." Case is made of wood and pressed paper. Case cover was replaced with archival board during conservation.
