1942 Portland Rose Festival Princess Madelyn Devaney posing with bicycle

Full-length portrait of Madelyn Devaney, the 1942 Portland Rose Festival princess from Jefferson High School. She is holding the handlebars of a bicycle and is standing outside the door to a brick building. She is smiling and facing slightly left. A cropped version of this photograph was published on the front page of the Oregon Journal “News & Views” section on Sunday, May 24, 1942.
