Handwritten note below the image reads, "William B. Daniels." Typed note on the back of the image reads, "DANIELS, Wm. Brinsmade. Pioneer of 1853 from Iowa. First settled in Yamhill Co., but later moved to Idaho. At one time was Governor of Idaho Territory. Married: March 13, 1848 to Miss Sarah Hall, in Cattaraugus Co., N. Y."

D. C. Coleman store

Cased photograph showing an exterior view of the D. C. Coleman store, located on the southeast corner of Oak and Front Street in Portland, Oregon. Several men stand in front of the store and 2 men shake hands near the front door. This was one of the first brick buildings constructed in Portland. Legacy collection records indicate this photograph was taken in 1853, the same year the building was constructed. Image has been removed from case and placed in archival board case.

Legacy collection records indicate they are Nellie Wills (left) and Lillie Hampton (right). Records speculate they are on holiday, perhaps in San Francisco.

Legacy collection records speculate this might be Nora Gollard. OrgLot1414_0246S069 also has a handwritten note identifying the subject as possibly being named Nora Gollard. Handwritten note on sleeve indicates this image was donated by the Worcester Historical Museum.

Mr. and Mrs. George Burnett were parents of Mrs. John T. Wylie." Legacy collection records indicate that the woman on the left, holding the photograph, is Emma Burnett. Records indicate that the unidentified woman on the right is likely the sister of George Burnett.
