Photograph of buildings constructed on the original site of Fort Astoria in Astoria, Oregon. An inscription on the back of the photo notes "Site of Old Fort at Astoria. Now occupied by undertaking parlour. Fort established in 1811 by Astor. Captured by British in 1813." This inscription is referring to the site of the original Fort Astoria on Exchange Street, where a mortuary was occupying the building at the time this photograph was taken.
