A cropped version of this photograph was published on Page 5, Section 7 (home magazine) of the Oregon Journal on Sunday, August 22, 1943. The photograph had the following caption: “After a ribbon at the 37th annual Multnomah county fair will be many fine livestock entries like this Ayreshire calf, posed by Bettylou Bisch of Portland. Four-H members walk off with a good share of the blue ribbons each year for their home-grown calves.” The 1943 fair opened on Monday, August 23.
