The Oregon Journal published two other photos of the Rose Festival court’s visit to the hospital on Friday, June 12, 1942.

She is wearing her tiara and holding a scepter. Visible behind Fowler and the unidentified man are some of the Rose Festival princesses. At left is Janet Newman, and behind her is Leona Kunce. The photograph may have been taken on June 12, 1942, when the festival court visited the Lambert Gardens in Portland. The Oregon Journal published a story about the court’s visit to the gardens on Saturday, June 13, 1942. The number 3 is written on the negative and is faintly visible in the lower left corner of the image.
