Lot 1027, Box 4, folder 32) is stamped with the date May 3, 1945, and has the following caption information: “LEADERS at a two-day conference of Oregon-Washington gas company executives opened here this morning are: R. G. Barnett, vice president and general manager of Portland Gas & Coke company (left), and Gordon J. Malone, Evansville, Ind., representing Servel, Inc. Malone, originator of the ‘Servel Plan’ to create more jobs for ex-service men and women and to keep business moving in volume after the war, opened the conference at the Portland Gas copany's [sic] hospitality house in the Public Service building.” The number 5004 is written on the negative and is faintly visible in the upper right corner of the image.
