A cropped version of this photograph was published under a smaller headline, "At the State Capital," and had the following caption: "Governor Patterson with Bert Fehren, president student body, O. A. C., who visited state house with class studying practical legislation from college." O. A. C., the Oregon Agricultural College, is now Oregon State University.
