He talks about his marriage to Mary Ellen Dandy and about working as a law clerk in Boston, Massachusetts. He discusses his 1952 move back to Portland, and practicing law with the firm now known as Stoel Rives. He discusses some of the lawyers he worked with, clients he represented, and some of his pro bono work, including in Mississippi as a civil rights lawyer in the 1960s. He discusses leaving Stoel Rives in 1971 to form his own law firm, and joining Tonkon Torp in 1974. He talks about cases he handled, including cases regarding antitrust and intellectual property law.
