From the inscription on the back of photograph: "Troop H - First Cavalry was stationed at this Post from August 1868 to June 1975. About 360 miles SSE of the Dalles, Oregon. Snowed from December to June each year. Abandoned 1879 or 80." This photograph shows several of the camp’s buildings. Parnell's signature is visible on top-left corner of photograph.
