Mary Joanna Thomson, who married Daniel C. Beatty (Beaty) on December 16, 1856. She came overland from Indiana, starting in April 1853, via the South Pass, and arrived in Oregon in October 1853. They settled in Portland.

Reverend Joab and his wife, Ann(a) (Beeler) Powell, who arrived from Missouri on October 10, 1852, with their 14 children in all, some having been born in Tennessee and others in Jackson County, Missouri. They founded the Providence Church in Linn County. He was known to be an eccentric preacher, but was hailed as a "good man."

Alice Mercer, who married Clarence B. Bagley in 1865 and was a pioneer of 1852. She was born October 26, 1848, in Illinois. They settled in Seattle, where Clarence was in the newspaper industry and on the Board of Public Works. They had two children. She died in Seattle in October 1913.

Helen Elder, who was born in Illinois in 1848 and was the daughter of Reverend Alfred R. Elder. She married Frederick Prosch on January 1, 1869, in Olympia, Washington Territory.

Elizabeth R. Davis, born in 1816 in Tennessee, who married Samuel L. Nelson in 1839 in Washington County, Illinois. They came across the plains to Oregon in 1852 from Hannibal, Missouri. He was a physician and they settled on a donation land claim on Mt. Tabor, in East Portland. He died in Portland in February of 1888.

Martha L. Geary, born in 1840 in Missouri, to Rev. Edward Ratchford and Harriet (Reed) Geary. Martha married Eugene L. Perham on January 1, 1857, in Linn County, Oregon. They lived on a Donation Land Claim in Benton County. Their children were: Theodore, Prentise R., Harriet L., Hugh W., Guy, and Nathaniel C. The child pictured above could be Hugh, Guy, or Nathaniel. Martha died in Portland in 1924.

Major General Henry Wager Halleck, an expert in military studies, known as "Old Brains." He helped in California's admission as a state, and was a lawyer and land developer. He served as General-in-Chief of all Union armies during the Civil War.

Charles N. Moe, who was stationed at Fort Sutter during the Indian Wars as a Captain in the U.S. Army. He came to Oregon, then moved to California by 1860. He was born in about 1827, and married Ellen Hall in Nebraska in 1861.
