Krumbein, Justus F.

Justus F. Krumbein, born in 1847 in Germany, was a prominent architect in Portland and the Willamette Valley from 1871 until his death, in 1907.

Killin, Judge Benton

Benton Killin (1842-1905), who came overland from Iowa in 1845, was a lawyer and judge in Oregon City. After serving for three years in the 1st Oregon Cavalry (1862-65), he married Harriet Burnett Hoover in 1873. He also worked as the Superintendent for Clackamas County Schools and was a Trustee of Pacific University. He died in Portland on May 26, 1905.

Kelly, Richmond

Richmond Kelly (Sept. 15, 1855-Feb. 22, 1928), the youngest child of Clinton and Moriah (Crain) Kelly. He became a practicing physician in Portland in 1885, after having married Addie S. Morgan. They had four children and resided on the same land on which he had been raised, in southeast Portland.

James Duval Holman, father to Frederick V. and George, among others. He married Rachel Hixson (Summers). He is credited with being one of the founders of Pacific City, Oregon, but lived in Portland in 1857.
