Malcolm J. "Little Mac" Monteith, the youngest son of Walter and Margaret A. (Smith) Monteith, of Albany, Oregon. Malcolm was born in about 1865 in Albany.

Monteith, Margaret Amanda (Smith)

Margaret Amanda Smith, who married Walter Monteith, a co-founder of Albany, Oregon. She was born in Indiana on February 11, 1829, and came across the plains to Oregon in 1853. She married Walter Monteith on October 18, 1855, and raised their family in Albany. They had four sons: Duncan, Charles, Malcolm, and William.

Moyer, John M.

Reverse of photo labeled "Mr." Moyer of Brownsville, Oregon. This must be John M. Moyer, who was born in Pennsylvania in 1829 and came west over the plains from Ohio in 1852. He first settled as a carpenter in Clackamas, but moved to Linn County by June 1857, when he married Elizabeth Devine Brown, the daughter of the Hon. Hugh L. Brown, founder of Brownsville. They had three children: Edward D., Hugh B., and Ethel (deceased by 1885). John Moyer became the proprietor of the woolen mills in Brownsville. He died in Brownsville, July 25, 1904.

Blain, Mary (Miller)

Mary Miller, who married Leighton E. Blain, in Albany in about 1868. She was born in Iowa, in October 1845, and crossed the plains to Oregon, arriving in November 1852. They first located on the Tualatin Plains. She died July 30, 1931.

Blain, Leighton E.

Leighton E. Blain, born in 1842 in Porter County, Indiana. He came overland with oxen in the spring of 1848 and arrived in the fall of that year. He settled in Oregon City as a merchant and married Mary Miller in Albany in about 1868. He died May 8th, 1927.

Peters, Aurelia V. (Blain)

Aurelia V. Blain, born December 1849 in Oregon, to Rev. Wilson and Elizabeth Blain. They lived in Linn City, where her father was an editor and Presbyterian preacher. She married Winfield Scott Peters, who was a freight clerk in Albany, on December 7, 1875. Their children were Wilson Webb and Ethlind. Aurelia died in Oakland, California, in 1924, and was buried in Riverside Cemetery in Albany.
