Circus clowns

Portrait of three clowns in costume, posing next to a tent. The clown in the center is holding a prop gun with a bird perched on the end. The clown on the left is holding a large salt shaker above the bird’s tail, and the clown on the right is holding up his hat. The clowns are unidentified but may be performers with the Al G. Barnes circus. The number 8 is written on the negative and is visible in the upper right corner of the image.

Men with birds

Two men stand in a room with wooden crates stacked on the floor and in a loft area. Featherless birds hang upside down from a beam and one man appears to be plucking the feathers off one of the birds. The second man stands with his arms crossed looking at the camera.
