Peter Reich was a volunteer with Volunteers in Service to America (VISTA). He volunteered at the Valley Migrant League's Hillsboro Opportunity Center. He wrote articles and took photographs for the Opportunity News circa 1965-1968.

Handwritten note on the back of the print reads, "Elva Cortez Hillsboro's queen candidate says, 'Welcome.'" This image was published in the Valley Migrant League's Opportunity News on March 18, 1966.
