Donated by Mary A. Stratton, Rec. 580." A second, handwritten note enclosed with image reads, "Rev. C. C. Stratton, Age 19 yrs." Legacy collection records indicate this is Reverend Charles Carroll Stratton, the first president of Portland University in Portland, Oregon. Case is a velvet covered oval case.
