Utah and Turman Wilson at murder sentencing

Convicted murderers Turman (left) and Utah Wilson, handcuffed together and wearing coveralls, arrive at the court of Judge Eugene Cushing to hear their sentence. Turman and Utah were sentenced to hang for the murder of 18-year-old Jo Ann Dewey, whose body was later found on the Wind River in Skamania County. They were hung on January 3, 1953.
