Second courthouse in Baker City, Oregon

This photograph depicts an exterior image of the second Baker County Courthouse. The building was on the 1900 block of 3rd street. The Sherriff's office was on the southeast end of the building. The county clerk and recorder's office was on the northeast corner of the building. The circuit courtroom above on the 2nd floor accessed via an outdoor stairway on the southeast corner of the building. The jail was located on the back of the building off 4th street. An inscription on negative envelope mentions this may also be the law office of William Joseph Lachner.
