Left to right—Dorothy Ford, Rose City girl and queen of the ball, and Betty Boyd, Edwina Booth and Myrna [sic] Kennedy, visitors from the movie lots, who arrived this morning to take part in the festivities.” In the same edition, the Journal also published a short story about the actresses’ visit, headlined “Movieland Trio Of Pretty Girls to Take Part in Ball.” The story reported that the ball was a charity event.
