She attended Benson High School in Portland, Oregon, and was active in track and field. She is a model, and is studying political science at Portland State University.

Farnsworth, Melanie E. (Melanie Elizabeth), 1950-

Melanie Elizabeth Farnsworth was born in Portsmouth, Ohio, in 1950. She lived in Atlanta, Georgia, then Dallas, Texas, until her parents divorced around 1955. She grew up with her mother and her mother's girlfriend in Toledo, Ohio. In 1965, the family moved to San Francisco, California. Farnsworth dropped out of school the next year. She returned to Toledo for a few years, and had a child. In 1973, she and her child moved to San Francisco, and a few years later, they moved to southern Oregon. Farnsworth earned a master's degree in nursing from the University of California, Los Angeles, and in 1995, she began working as a nurse practitioner at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, Oregon. In 2004, she and Sharon K. Lamoreaux were married. Farnsworth retired in 2015.

Barbara Vorse Fealy, nee Barbara Bertha Vorse, was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, in 1903. In 1925, she earned a degree in landscape architecture from the University of Illinois. She worked as a landscape architect in Denver, Colorado, and in Utah. In 1934, she and Martin Hoag were married; they later had one child. After Hoag died in 1935, she and Willam Fealy were married in 1946; they later had one child. Shortly after their marriage, the Fealys relocated to Oregon and Barbara Fealy worked as a landscape architect in the Pacific Northwest. Her Oregon works include Caitlin-Gabel School, the Leach Botanical Garden, Timberline Lodge, Sokol Blosser Winery, and Waverley Country Club. She died in 2000.

Fedde, G. Bernhard (Gabriel Bernhard), 1909-2007

Gabriel Bernhard Fedde was born in Brooklyn, New York, in 1909. He studied history at Williams College in Massachusetts. He studied abroad in Munich, Germany, for a year. He also studied law while in Munich and then later at Columbia University. He finished his law studies at the University of Oregon, graduating in 1936. He passed the Oregon bar exam that same year, and began practicing law in Portland, Oregon. He was a conscientious objector during World War II. After the war, he went to Germany to lead the American section of the Quaker relief efforts. He returned to private practice in Portland in 1947. He and Johanna Borrevik were married in 1957. In 1964, he earned a master's degree from Oregon State University. Over the course of his law career, he specialized in draft, refugee, and immigration law. Along with his private practice in Portland, he served as legal counsel for the Lutheran World Federation in Palestine from 1949 to 1950, and for the Consulate-General for West Germany from 1978 to 1987.

In addition to practicing law, he specialized in Scandinavian history, which he taught as an adjunct professor at Portland State University from 1956 to 1983. From 1983 through 1990, he continued teaching Scandinavian history at Portland State without drawing a paycheck. He lectured around the country, as well as in Scandinavia, and authored a book in 1965, "The Norwegian-Swedish Crisis of 1905." In 1977, King Olav V of Norway awarded him the Saint Olav's Medal. He was active in several civic and social organizations and was a founding member of the Scandinavian Heritage Foundation. He died in 2007.

Fee, Alice Tomkins (Alice Emma Tomkins), 1897-1995

Alice Emma Tomkins Fee was born in Cascade Locks, Oregon, in 1897, and grew up in Portland until the age of 10, when her family returned to Cascade Locks. With few career paths open to women, she chose to attend the Oregon Normal School in Monmouth with the intention of becoming a teacher. She transferred to the University of Oregon and studied music, earning her bachelor's degree in 1924. She was principal at a school in Malin, Oregon; a third-grade teacher in Hood River, Oregon; and principal in Pine Grove, Oregon. She got a job as a typist and stenographer in the clerk's office for the U.S. District Court of Oregon in 1927, and in 1931 she became deputy clerk of the court. In 1939, she became secretary for Judge James Alger Fee. They were married in 1943 and they had no children. They moved to San Francisco, California, when Judge Fee was appointed to the Circuit Court of Appeals. Judge Fee died in 1959. Alice Tomkins Fee returned to Portland around 1978. She died in 1995.

Feltz, Emil E. (Emil Eugene), 1900-1982

Emil Eugene Feltz was born in Portland, Oregon, in 1900. In 1925, he and Anne Theresa Gilroy were married; they later had three children. Feltz worked for the Pacific Fruit and Produce Company, and he lived in the Brooklyn neighborhood of Portland for most of his life. He died in 1982.
