Vilches, Alejandro, 1980-

Alejandro Vilches was born in 1980 in Bryan, Texas, and grew up in Honduras. He attended the Universidad Tecnológica Centroamericana in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, and earned a degree in computer science in 2007. He returned to the United States in 2008 to attend Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. He earned a master's degree in computer science in 2011, and soon after he began working as a software engineer at Intel in Hillsboro, Oregon.

Songolo, Felix (Felix Uredi Faraja), 2000-

Felix Songolo was born in Lusaka, Zambia, in 2000. His family had fled violence in the Democratic Republic of Congo a few years earlier. In 2004, his family was approved for resettlement in the United States, and they immigrated to Portland, Oregon. He graduated from De La Salle North Catholic High School in 2018 and became a student at Georgetown University.

Nardos, Rahel

Rahel Nardos was born in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, in 1974. She attended the International Community School in Addis Ababa, and in 1993, she came to the United States to continue her studies at Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. After graduating in 1997, she spent two years working as a research assistant at Cornell University. She earned a doctor of medicine degree from Yale University in 2003 and completed her residency at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, with a specialization in obstetrics and gynecology. In 2010, she founded Footsteps to Healing, which provides health care to women in Ethiopia. As of 2018, she was an adjunct professor at Oregon Health & Science University and a urogynecologist at Kaiser Permanente NW, and served on the board for the Worldwide Fistula Fund.

Neri-Wong, Brenda J., 1993-

Brenda J. Neri-Wong was born in Mexico in 1993. Her parents brought her to the United States at the age of 2 to seek treatment for immune thrombocytopenic purpura, a blood condition that affected her body's ability to form blood clots. The family settled in Oregon soon after. Neri-Wong later attended Portland Community College, and then transferred to Portland State University, where she earned a bachelor of history degree in 2016. She received protections under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program and as of 2018 was a graduation coach at Hillsboro High School.

Rickles, Eva S. (Eva Simons), 1927-

Eva Simons Rickles, nee Evamarie Simons, was born in Berlin, Germany, in 1927. Her family fled Nazi Germany in 1937 and sought refuge in England. They immigrated to the United States later that year and settled in Seattle, Washington. She attended Reed College for two years and then transferred to the University of Washington, where she earned a bachelor's degree in psychology. She then attended the New York School of Social Work for one year. In 1950, she and Norman H. Rickles were married; they later had two children. She co-founded the Native American Arts Council.
